Violations and summons for FDNY, DOB, Department of Sanitation, and the Environmental Control Board are delivered to the building (not necessarily the offending unit). That being said, all violations and summons for any NYC building can be found through the FDNY, DOB, and CityPay websites.

Most violations don’t include a cease and desist, but some do. Each violation will have a description of the issue, a breakdown of the necessary remedy, a due date for compliance, and additional comments from the inspector.

In an ideal scenario, you’ll have remedied the violation and attended the hearing. Unfortunately though this isn’t always the case. If you are within 75 days of the missed hearing, we can reach out on your behalf to reopen your case.
